At the biggest ever National Restaurant Association show, 67,000 hearty souls unleashed their passion for food over four memorable days that left no plate unturned, no trend unexplored, and everyone hungry to experience the next big thing – whether it’s technology that provides an amazingly thorough customer dossier based on social media activities and ordering history, robotics that help operators cut costs but not corners, beverages with extraordinary buzz factor (think cold brew and aqua based drinks), specialty foods gone completely mainstream but retaining their singular appeal, or online takeout and delivery services that are upending the reservation line.
