“For brunch cocktails, I think light, refreshing and low ABV, so you can have more than one and still function the rest of the day. This drink is one where my love of coffee comes into play. I was originally thinking of a coffee Manhattan with a nice rye whiskey, but it didn’t fall in the low ABV parameters I wanted. I had recently been introduced to Amaro Meletti, which has this unique, bitter chocolate quality.”

- 1 oz Meletti Amaro
- 1 oz Carpano Antica
- 1½ oz espresso
- Shake all ingredients and strain into coupe.
- Top with soda and garnish with crumbled chocolate shavings and smoked sea salt.
