It’s an understatement to say that Tunde Wey‘s food is a conversation starter. The Nigerian-born, self-taught chef and activist, who currently resides in New Orleans, uses food and dining spaces to confront systems of exploitative power.
In 2019, he was named one of Time’s “Next Generation Leaders.” We discuss why it’s important for restaurant industry people to truly connect with their guests, particularly those diners who are part of underserved communities.
