Can't Fail Shrimp and Grits

Ingredients

  • 6 Ounces Shrimp White Raw Peeled and Deveined 16-20 Tail On Individually Frozen
  • 2 Ounces Bacon Single Slice 14-17 Cherrywood Smoked Refrigerated, Cooked and chopped
  • 3 Ounces Pepper Red Whole Roasted, Cut into strips
  • 1/2 Ounce Shallot Whole Peeled Fresh, Or 1 small sliced thin
  • 1/2 Ounce Onion Green Scallion Iceless Clean and Trim Fresh, Sliced thin
  • 1/4 Cup Base culinary Cream Refrigerated
  • 1/4 Ounce Base Chicken Gourmet Paste No Msg Added Gluten Free, Mixed in 1/2 cup water
  • 4 Ounces Casserole Cheese Grits Tray Frozen, Already prepared on line

Preparation

  1. In sauté pan add, pre cooked bacon shallot and small amount of butter. Sauté this briefly then add shrimp and sliced peppers continue cokking for 1 minute then "deglaze" pan with mall amount of stock. Once reduced a little add culinary cream and toss to combine. Toast and adjust seasoning. For plate up use bowl or pasta stylw dish and scoop grits into the bottom add shrimp and sauce together. Garnish with sliced green onion and any leftover bacon pieces.
